The Forgotten Forum Introduction

Hello, my name is Sophia and I'm from Beautiful BC, Canada and home to the 2010 Winter Olympics. I started working in late 2002 in various online endeavors. I own a work at home website, a health blog and moderate three work at home forums. I'm looking forward to contributing and getting to know you all better.

How hard was that? Not hard at all and it only took me about...oh...30 seconds if that, to let everyone know who I am and what I do. Forum introductions are an integral step and is just as important as reading the forum rules. Don't short change yourself by posting an "empty" introduction. Remember, first impressions always counts.

As a forum owner, I'm well aware of how many people "forget" this all important step. While many forums have a free section for members to promote their businesses, how beneficial is it to make your first post a "post and run"? I can honestly say if a forum requires an introduction your ad just met the delete button and even if they don't, it's forum etiquette. Forums are invaluable tools and it should be utilized to its fullest potential.

How many people who are looking to join a home business or looking for a specific product would seek out a member who only posts in the advertising forum? It's not many to my knowledge.
Would you enter a room full of prospects only to pass out your business card and leave?

If you made your introduction and then secluded yourself to only one section of the forum it doesn't mean your job is done. In fact, that is just as bad as not introducing yourself, in my opinion. The next step is to read the forum, join in various discussions, share your knowledge or expertise, post quality replies to topics of your interests and not just to be self-serving. Now you're actively networking and it is proven to be more effective in creating sales for yourself. People are more likely to buy from people they know and trust.

Taking full advantage of forums and what they offer goes beyond articles that tell you how you can increase sales and how to drive more traffic to your site. As an active forum member you are getting yourself out there, building trust and networking with potential people who may become your new and returning customers. They are also your word-of-mouth. You have now created your own viral marketing and it's far more effective than being a "post and run" poster.

An Introduction to San Javier

On the cusp of Europe's largest saltwater lake - the Mar Menor - is the historic Spanish town of San Javier. It is a bustling town full of life, and is an ideal holiday base for those in search of the outdoor life. The Roda Golf and Beach Resort with its 18 hole, par 72 golf course is close by, and the Mar Menor beckons too with its water sports and activities. Simply put, there is something for everyone in and around San Javier.

San Javier Golf - Why confine yourself to one course when you can savour a variety of about ten more, all accessible within minutes of San Javier town. La Torre Golf offers 18 holes at par-68 with four sets of starting tees spread over a large area. It is beautifully landscaped and perfectly suited for the beginner as well as the pro. Next you have the Mar Menor Golf, which at present is 9 holes but will soon be expanded to 18. Also worth noting is the Mosa Trajectum Golf Club with its 27 hole championship course.

Things to do in San Javier – While it might require tremendous effort to tear yourself away from the wonderful golf courses, it really is worth doing so as you have so much to see and explore around San Javier. If you happen to be visiting around June time you can catch the famous jazz festival. Every Thursday is market day in San Javier too, when you have the opportunity to walk way with some Spanish treasure. There are also the spectacular beaches and promenades to enjoy where you can soak up the sunshine, or let it all out with some water sports activities.

For a more relaxing time why not try getting some mud on your face! In Lo Pagan there is mud on almost everybody’s face and body…the healing mud of La Puntica which is believed to heal all sorts of ailments from skin diseases to arthritis. Simply apply the mud to your skin, let it dry in the sun, and wash it off with the salt water from the Mar Menor. It might even help with golfing injuries!

A History Lesson – San Javier is replete with landmarks and architectural gems. If you harbour any inclinations of this sort, this little town is a historical picture book that will hold you in thrall.
For instance there’s the Church of San Francisco Javier, or St. Francis Xavier after whom the town is named, built in 1759 with stone quarried from a riverbed. It took fourteen years to complete and still stands today in its original baroque splendour. There are many more historical treats beside -- certainly enough for you to spend a day or two in awe around the town.

In and Around San Javier – In San Javier, to get from the airport to your destination, you either need to hire a car or surrender yourself to a Spanish taxi driver.
