Weather Systems - Precipitation In The Making

By Vince L. Paxton

For those who study weather on a daily basis, movement of air masses is at the heart of most changes in weather conditions. These huge areas of warm air or cold air (weather fronts) move up or down in the atmosphere, as well as horizontally, sometimes covering hundreds of miles in a short time. The sun does not heat the atmosphere on a consistent basis. Variations in temperature occur, depending on the location. The large masses of air move about, part of nature's attempt to maintain balance.

But it is not just the movement of a single air mass that is key in determining the type of weather we experience. Instead, the confrontation between two masses of air often cause significant changes in conditions. A mass of air moving into a particular region will encounter another mass. The area where these two air masses meet, where the conflict occurs, is commonly called a front.

For general weather watching purposes, when a cold air mass moves in and attempts to replace a warmer mass, meteorologists and weather watchers call it a cold front. When the moving air mass is warm and it meets a cold air mass, the area of contact is called a warm front.

However, movement of these huge areas of air is not limited to straight-line, horizontal activity.
A warm mass encountering a colder section of air will ride over the top of the cooler mass, causing clouds to be formed through condensation. Essentially, the difference in temperature between the two air masses triggers a reaction in the water vapor of the masses. Most of the time, an observer of this activity will see cirrus clouds high in the atmosphere, with clouds forming at a slightly lower level later. Heavy stratus clouds appear, generally producing precipitation and windy conditions.

Over long periods of time, there is some consistent frontal activity, which produces the various climate conditions found around the world. Scientists have learned that weather changes produced by a cold front will often be more volatile than the activity caused by a warmer mass of air. A cold front meeting a warm air mass forces the warmer up, quickly. This movement results in unstable conditions and convection. Massive cumulus clouds will result, with storms forming along the boundary between the two masses of air. In addition, the rising air produces a low-pressure area, with stronger winds resulting. Most of the time area residents will experience heavy rain. Precipitation tends to linger after the passage of this frontal activity.

Less common but still of interest is the overtaking of a slow-moving warm front by a cold air mass. The warm air is pushed to a higher elevation but the air masses continue to travel together. This front between two air masses, one above another, is known as an occluded front, which usually have stratus clouds and some rain as companions.

While displacement of one air mass by another is quite common, sometimes these two sections of the atmosphere have the same strength. When one cannot replace the other, meteorologists and weather watchers see a stationary front. Extended periods of cloudiness and precipitation are the features of this unique climate condition

Being passionate about climate and weather fronts, Vince Paxton is publishing lots of web pages on this specific topic. His publications on weather forecast for benidorm spain can be discovered on http://www.alicante-spain.com/benidorm-weather.html

Develop And Use Systems For Maximum Success

By Enoch Tan

The key to maximum success in everything lies in the use of systems. Some people achieve success in an unpredictable manner where they do not know exactly how it happens but sometimes they make it and sometimes they don't. Mastery is when you have refined the way you do things to a point where you have a particular way that works best for you every time you use it. That way of doing things is a system that produces consistent, reliable and optimal results. Systems are discovered and created.

If you want to become the best in what you do, you must develop and use a system that enables you to produce your best results. The aim of all effort towards success is to experiment, discover and refine particular ways of doing things that gets you the best results. This is what the best players who aim to play their best all the time keep doing. Winning is not a one time thing, it is an all time thing. Success that cannot be replicated at will is not true success. You are truly successful when you can repeat.

The entire universe is a system of systems. There is a logos or logical system for everything. All things are processes. Working on the process instead of the outcome is key to success. When you discover the system of an area of life, you become enlightened to the way things work in that area. Everything in life has a formula. There is a formula for wealth, health, relationship, self growth, enjoyment and spirituality. When you discover the formula or logos in any area, you can achieve success in that area.

There is a general system for everything, but the key to achieving the best results that you can have for yourself is to make the system your system. It is the specific way that you do each part of a process and the unique way that you make it all work together for you, that turns a system into your own. The system becomes personalized. A great musician can take a particular song and play it in a way that couldn't be compared with the original composer. It is because he takes the song and makes it his own.

The process to succeeding in business takes a significant amount of time before it happens. That is because you are working to create a system that works for you. All it takes is one missing piece for the whole system to fail. You need to learn all the things that are necessary to set the foundation in place for the system to operate upon. When the time comes where everything falls into place, that's when the wealth starts generating properly. That's when the business really starts to take off and move up.

Incomplete development of a system is the reason why people keep trying so hard over a period of time and still seem to be failing to achieve the kind of results that they desire. No matter how long it takes, it will never happen until they finally learn all the key components and integrate them together to make the system operate with optimal profitably. The secret is not to give up, but to keep on working at it until you figure every part that is needed to make the entire system flow together successfully.

The same thing applies to life as well. You probably find yourself gaining knowledge and coming to a place where everything is working well for you at the given moment because of your newfound awareness, but then it all falls apart again at the next moment. Sometimes it just makes you wonder what the heck is going on. You may have gained some workability in creating certain experiences you desire for awhile. But you either can't sustain, repeat or take it to the next level no matter how much you try.

The reason is because you still haven't possessed the rest of the awareness you need for it to happen. As you keep learning and growing, you will keep getting more and more pieces of the puzzle so that you are able to acquire better and better mastery in different areas of life for creating your desired reality. This realization is the answer to the mystery of ups and downs in the journey of life. Your life will get better and better when you keep picking yourself up in those areas that you have fallen and walk on.

There is an Asian Bamboo species that even after five years of watering, weeding and fertilizing is barely visible. Then in a span of about six weeks it grows two and a half feet a day to 90 feet and higher. It grows so fast that you can literally "hear" it growing. Obviously it grew 90 feet in five years, not six weeks, for all the time when growth wasn't visible it was developing a massive root system that would later support it's magnificent growth. Much of your life's work is development of systems to self actualize.

Use systems to run things for you with minimum effort. Much of the workings of the universe operate automatically by law. This is how higher intelligence is able to do an incredible amount of wonders. It has everything in place so that it does not have to personally intervene in every area all the time. You have to work like the universe to be as abundant and effortless like it. The key to effortless, continual and massive increase of wealth is automation. A system can confine you but it can also free you greatly.

Some things you think about, other things you don't. In order to stop thinking about some things, you need to spend some time thinking about them so you needn't think about them again. Have a system of doing things so you can make a thousand decisions without need for thinking. The more you create things that can run on their own without direct effort from you, the more you are working smarter instead of harder. Systems enable you to do things in a much more efficient, effortless and productive way.

You must create a system or be enslaved by another man's. Do not reason and compare, your business is to create. Create a system that has variations so that it will not be too predictable, routine and uninspiring. A system that is not open to variation will fail in situations of chaos. A system is never one thing but a combination of all those things working together. Sometimes those from outside the system are the ones ideally suited to fixing the system. Be inside and outside of your system for the best use.

Home Entertainment Systems Closer Together

By Julia Hall

There's an interesting new type of gadget that is specifically designed to bridge the gap between the home computer an the home entertainment system. This is a gap that the computer industry has been trying to bridge for years- at least since the early nineteen nineties- and maybe before in some way or another. In the past these efforts have failed for a number of reasons. For one thing, many people believe that the home office is where the computer belongs while the living room is where the home entertainment system belongs and the two shouldn't mix. While some of us might like the idea of being able to relax on the couch or in our favorite easy chair while typing emails and getting work done, most Americans seem to want to keep their work and relaxation separate. Of course, computers have increasingly served as sources of entertainment, but people are still unwilling to bring their computers into the living room, and the cabling and other complications of bringing the content of computers from the office to the living room- without moving the actual box of the computer- has proven to be too difficult for most casual users to manage. Recent developments in technology have been paving the way for the computer's entrance into the living room though. For example, it's already their in the form of digital TV receivers, DVD players, Digital Video Recorders, and video game systems. While none of these devices has the outward appearance of home computer systems or the same type of interface, they do utilize computer technology nonetheless. The increasing number of multimedia applications on home computer systems are also paving the way toward the computer's acceptance into the living room as well. For example, most of the newest operating systems come with software for editing digital photos, recording video, editing video, and ripping CD's. All of this media could easily make its way to the home entertainment system, and would be much more enjoyable there for whole families than it would be on the home computer system hidden away in the office.

Now, while most people still seem unwilling to accept the home computer into the home entertainment center, there are a variety of newer gadgets that will bring the contents of home computer systems into the living room while leaving the actual computer in the home office where it apparently belongs. The newest example is the Apple TV which is a set top box that can wirelessly receive a variety of different media from an Apple or Windows computer. This media includes digital photos, music, and video with resolutions of up to 720p- which is high enough to qualify as HDTV. The main problem with the Apple TV is that it will only feed files from the iTunes folder on the computer and it's difficult to add files to the iTunes folder without downloading them directly from the iTunes website.

Fortunately the Apple TV isn't the only answer as it is also possible to do similar things with newer versions of TiVo and Amazon's Unbox service. The TiVo system uses Ethernet cabling instead of a wireless connection.

One alternative to these devices is to get a media center. Media centers are essentially home computer systems that pretend to be home entertainment equipment. They're primarily sold as high end, stand alone DVR's, but they also have all of the functions of home computer systems built in. Right now they're available with Windows and Linux operating systems.

With gadgets like these, perhaps we'll soon see the home computer merge with the home entertainment system.
