Understand Your Dogs Body Language - What is Your Dog Saying to You?

By Mayra Alfonso

If you are owner of a dog, it is very necessary to understand your dog's body language. This will make you aware of what your dog's telling you. Regular interaction with your dog is very important to keep him happy and make him stay away from aggressive behavior. Remember that dogs depend on body language to express themselves.

Dogs possess a peculiar kind of body language of their own. You need to understand this vocabulary in order to have a successful communication with your dog. Here are some of the most common Canine body language messages:

a) Tail and ears down:
Whenever your dog wants to exhibit submissiveness, he will sit down with both his ears down and tail tucked between his legs. Here, he acknowledges you as his master and surrenders. Your dog will also sit in this position if he has done something naughty or done something that you don't approve of. He wants to curb your anger and hence sit in this position. Another situation where your dog sits with his tail and ears down is when he feels down, gets sick or injured.

b) Tail and ears up:
Whenever your dog approaches a new visitor, with his tail and ears up, he is excited and happy to meet this person. The body language is a way to express his happiness and gratitude. This is a playful behavior and you don't need to worry about the safety of your visitor in this case.

c) Play bow:
This is a body language your dog exhibits whenever he wants to play with you or his fellow dogs. He will lay his front legs flat on the ground and stick his back end in the air. This body language is followed by a happy bark. He will also jump towards his side. In short, this body language of a dog is to ask someone to play with him.

d) Whining:
Whenever your dog gets frustrated or angry it will whine. This behavior is common whenever your dog is tied to a leash for a long time or not able to do what he wants.

e) Growling:
This is a warning to you. Here the dog becomes aggressive and warn you. This is common when someone tries to invade his place or privacy. It is natural for your dogs to growl at strangers.

However, you need to know that dogs who growl at their owners have some problem. You should seek a professional help immediately. Growling is a sign that the dog is going to bite soon.
Hence, this behavior should be taken seriously.

f) Barking:
This is one of the most common body language for dogs. This can mean different things depending on the circumstance. Dogs may bark to greet their owners, warn someone, or indicating a stranger's entry to your home.

Pay attention to the body language of your dog will help you have a good relationship with your dog.

How Can You Find A Date? Using the Emotional Language

By Alan Lim

Think of the law of first impression
The law of first impression is utmost and paramount if you in actual fact have to find a date. This should be highly connected to the way you open up yourself to the other party. One of the greatest criteria to judge your sincerity is the manner in which you look at the other. Therefore, looking directly into the eyes of your potential date will be very instrumental. People who have a genuine interest to find a date in others often get in touch with the eyes of the other. You should continually do this while discussing with the other. But watch out against fixing your gaze at him or her for too long, because this may be taken to mean gazing or panicking.

Form a good body language
To find a date equally means to show your interest in a particular person. Thus, sit head-on to that person while talking to him or her. This is presumably taken to mean your entire attention has been given to that person.

Watch out your manner of conversation
In order to effectively find a date, you must interrelate with your intention. To develop attraction, there must be fun and fun goes hand in gloves with conversation. Avoid showering your potential date with lots of question. Be conscious of the type of questions to ask. Ask question which relate to his or her age, environment, interest or hobbies. Keep away from asking too many questions especially when a favorable answer has not been given to the previous one. If you ask more than two question when an answer has not been provided to any of the first ones, you may sound boring. Tell your potential date one of two stories that he or she can possibly participate in, and that can equally bring out an answer to any of your questions.

Avoid alcohol if you intend to find a date
Most people find it uneasy to talk face-to-face to others. They have a tendency to always use alcohol as a defensive mechanism to find a date. When you drink, you become nervous and when you are nervous, you talk and act too fast. You even talk at the top of your voice without you getting to know this.

Finally, always have that believe that the worst can happen even to you when you seek to find a date. It is not an obligation that you must find a date at every meeting. So when you are turned down, take it to be a normal occurrence. Keep in mind that credit does not go to the person who points out where a strong man stumbled or where he should have stood up. It goes to the man who always situates himself in the arena, who fails but never stops trying.

There is a great possibility that you can get a date of your choice if you have the self-belief. Do you instantly want to meet people out there? If yes, log on to Find a Date to discover people who need the love and affection that you have.

Easy Tips to Learn Spanish

By Jacob R Freeman

Learning a foreign language like Spanish is difficult, but can be made even more difficult by time constraints and simply living life. I was born in California, and took three years of Spanish in high school, and yet I never felt comfortable even uttering the simplest words in Spanish. Soon thereafter, I decided to visit Honduras, a Spanish speaking country and I wanted to be able to speak while there. In becoming fluent in Spanish, I discovered some tips that will help you succeed in your studies:

First, ask yourself when you want to study Spanish and determine how much time a day you can dedicate to the study of Spanish. Let's face it, in order to learn you must study and study regularly.

Second, you need to decide how you are going to study Spanish. There are many options available, ranging from cheap to expensive. You can hire a tutor or take a class. You can order an internet program or buy a book. I checked out a series of CD's once from the library and listened to them in the car. This helped me with conversational Spanish, but did not help me learn to read or write.

Third, you need to determine what your goals are with the study of Spanish. Do you intend to become conversationally fluent? Do you want to read and write Spanish? I would recommend learning conversation Spanish at the same time you learn to read and write Spanish.

Learning Spanish or any foreign language is exciting and opens new doors to you. Do not get discouraged but continue your pursuit and you will become fluent.

Jacob found that learning Spanish as an adult was much easier than people made it out to be as a result of his experience and publishes a blog http://www.squidoo.com/easy-tips-to-learn-spanish/ for anyone who wants to learn Spanish. Proper Italian Learning

By Shareen

Adding another language in to your vocabulary is another collection to your wall of achievement that is greatly deserved. Who else would have been too eager to spend his time and effort everyday for 15-20 minutes a day but only yourself, right? So, there, when you have fully learned the Italian language, go on ahead and take full credit.

You don’t have to be too conscious of the amount of words which you will be learning overtime. Remember that it’s an essential factor to be able to learn the words right, use them right and apply them to normal daily conversations with Italian speakers.

If you choose to learn quantity over quality, it’s not going to work effectively. Though telling all your friends that you could recite hundreds of Italian words in one go is really impressive, applying this line of thought doesn’t contribute any better to your learning experience. You’ll realize soon, when you try to apply the language in to a conversation with Italian speakers, that you should've dwell more in to the construction of an Italian sentence instead.

Studying the Italian language with an attitude of learning it in a fast-paced rhythm isn’t helpful either. If you follow what has been said above, and not follow this one, it will completely defeat the entire purpose of learning Italian properly. As much as possible, learn a group of Italian words per one session. A group should have 5-10 words at most but never over 10.

When you’re ready to say the Italian words you have learned, practice as often as you can. One thing you should observe though, make sure that you don’t gobble the words down your throat. Your goal is to be able to deliver an Italian conversation clearly and not race with the speed of another Italian native.

When you are more than ready to spread the word and let everybody else know that you are capable of speaking Italian, develop the proper way of speaking with confidence. Normally, when Italians are in a conversation, they tend to move around their arms for further self expression. Try doing it as well and become a true Italian speaker by heart.

One Magic al Tip to Transform Your Daily Dialogue: Positive Verbal Language Makes All the Difference

By Asma Fayyad

Most of us are victims of negative emotions and that is certainly reflected on our daily communications, the verbal and the non verbal. Every morning we fall prey to food allergies, nightmares, sleeping disorders, pains and aches of the previous night. You see the world through rusty and hazy goggles; you wonder "when will I ever feel better about my life".

You start shouting at your husband, children and start posing a cinched nose towards everyone. You forcibly draw a smile on your face and start pretending that you are getting through the day just fine.

That is when you are in great danger of committing verbal abuse. You will tend to abuse your own verbal skills. Most people mistake being direct and honest with being negative and rude. You can always say the truth in a better way.

A simple example comes from your daily life. Let's assume that you want your husband to place his tooth brush back on the holder, what would you normally say? "Honey, please don't leave your tooth brush on the sink?" or "why do you always leave your tooth brush on the sink, can't you simply put it back on the holder?"

The minute you start your word with “DON'T” the person will stop listening to you, no matter how useful your feedback is.

Instead say something like "it would be a lot more hygienic if you kept your tooth brush away from the sink, it gets messy there. There is a holder on the shelf, you can put it there once you are done brushing"

This will sure take longer to say but note that there is not a single negative word in the sentence. The tip for today is

Start your talk with a positive word and lead your listener to understand rather than command him/her to do something.

Watching your mouth, minding your language not only means to avoid abusive words and expressions, it means "STOP, THINK, CHOOSE, then SHOOT" you hit your target better this way.
