The Truth About Credit Repair

By Jada Thomas

Credit, if you're not a "cash & carry" individual, is one of the best assets to your personal profile. It can work for you or against you depending on how responsible you are or how irresponsible the credit bureaus and your creditors are (perhaps a little combo of both). One of the most fatal fallacies that has impregnated and plagued the minds of consumers world-wide is that blemished credit cannot be corrected.

Besides the obvious seeds of fear, the credit bureaus have seemingly black-balled the novice credit repair community with half truth's and served the have nots (in knowledge that is) a fresh hot platter of discouragement as a token of their appreciation. There are cases where consumer's have succeeded at the D.Y.S. approach but the overwhelming number of failures exceedingly surpass the victors. We all have to have the wisdom to know when something is beyond our expertise or time. I do ok when I try to style my hair myself but I prefer a professional to my own moderate skill anytime.

The credit bureaus and some of the governmental agencies that oversee them (the credit bureaus are not government entities and are all listed on the N.Y.S.E.), have put out strict communications warning consumers about credit repair companies. They speak of scams and emphasize that it can be done yourself. While it's true that scams exist in the credit repair industry (as in all industries), the casual notion that consumer's are able to easily "do it themselves" speaks volumes to the deceptive practices at the bureaus. A simple Google search about lawsuits against the credit bureaus more than justifies this point.

Simply put, they meet their payroll by collecting and selling your information to subscribers world-wide. Thus reviewing and correcting your credit file becomes more of a nuisance to them than providing the quality that the law binds them to maintain. Your lack of knowledge becomes their leverage and you're ultimately forced into "statutory prison" for 7-10 years provided that you can avoid bankruptcy and serve your term. What's worse is that the day you think you'll be free from that awful blemish you're likely to find out that it stays on your credit report 7-10 years "from the last date of activity". Which means, if you've made any payments to those particular accounts, made adjustments or updates, the item will off 7-10 years from that date.

So a person can have a collection account from 2001 that's due to fall off sometime in 2008, make a payment or payoff the account in 2008, and have that account show on their credit file until 2015. Where is the fair in that?

Young Driver Car Insurance - Truth Is To Be Disclosed

By David Faulkner

As adults we understand the need for a car and of course we have to pay insurance for that car. However when our kids get insurance they often end up paying much more than they have to, because car insurance companies assume that as young they are going to be getting into a lot of trouble and causing a lot of accidents.

When it comes to getting Young Driver Car Insurance, you really want to be able to save as much money as possible. Although many people unfortunately do not realize it, there are quite a few different things that you can do in order to reduce the cost of Young Driver Car Insurance, of which will be discussed here.

One of the best ways to reduce the costs of Young Driver Car Insurance is to make sure that you pay your premium in full rather than in monthly installments, and this is because insurers will generally offer a discount on a lump sum, whereas they tend to add a surcharge fee for installments.

Higher Cost For Young Driver Car Insurance:
Why the premiums are for Young Driver Car Insurance so expensive? It is because youngsters who have just received their driver's license do not have any real driving experience and are therefore more apt to get into a car accident. Add to this the fact that many youngsters drive while distracted, whether talking to friends in the car with them, talking on their cell phone, or showing off by driving at unsafe speeds, and you have the perfect reason for insurance companies to require a higher monthly premium for student car insurance policies. A high percentage of accidents in the United States are caused by people under the age of 25 and Young Driver Car Insurance rates will typically remain high until the driver reaches this age.

In some cases, the insurance company will offer a discounted premium rate on Young Driver Car Insurance policies to students who maintain good grades. The companies believe that keeping up with your schoolwork demonstrates a sense of responsibility and they believe that shows that you will be a responsible driver. But if you get into one accident or get one speeding ticket, the discounted rate will be revoked and you will have to pay the full premium price for your Young Driver Car Insurance until you reach the age of 25.

Reason for Young Driver Car Insurance:
Young Driver Car Insurance policies are no different than traditional
car insurance policies in terms of coverage and deductibles. The only difference is the high price of the premium. If you can maintain a good driving record and keep your grades up until graduation, then the rate for your student car insurance may decrease over time. And that frees up your money for more important things, like books for college.

If you keep all of these pointers in mind, then when it comes time to get car insurance for your own youngsters, you will be able to save yourself a great deal of money, something that every parent can truly appreciate

The Truth About Making Money in MLM

By Wade Schings

Ok, You've heard it all, You've been fooled, and You've been through the hype...So, What does it really take to make money in MLM? Answer: 90% of your success is determined by choosing the Right Company.

Think about it... Even if you were the best race car driver in the world, would it make any difference if you entered the Daytona 500 with a Ford Focus?

Here's some other things to consider:

If Bill Gates called you and said, "I'm starting a new computer company and I'd like to partner with you," would you be in?

If we were to invest time or money into Microsoft today, it wouldn't be near as life changing as if you would have been it in 1975. I read sometime ago on the front cover of Time Magazine, the article about Warren Buffet, the Celebrity Billionaire Investor. They were saying that if you would have invested $1000 with Warren in 1969, that today it would be worth well over 20 Million Dollars.

So what's the point? The point here is TIMING. We've all heard the saying, "Timing is everything." But, Does that apply in Network Marketing? Whether you are a seasoned Networker, or a just getting you feet wet, the question you should ask yourself is: "WHEN did the Number One Income Earners in my company get started?" (If you are one of those Income Earners, well, you know where I am going with this.) Do your homework, and you'll see that 98% of them got started "ground floor." Most of you who are with an old company need to consider this very carefully, as it is "hands down" one of the strongest contributors to your success in MLM.

Of course, Timing is only one of the 5 Pillars that support a dynamic MLM opportunity.

But timing is the center pillar.
The other 4 are:

1) Company Management
2) Product
3) Comp Plan
4) Marketing System

Just Briefly...

The Company Management must be experienced in both corporate and field leadership with a strong track record of success. The Company must be lead by someone with strong financial resources. People like Bill Farley, Donald Trump and Bill Gates have tremendous track records and also possess the financial means to pioneer billion dollar brands.

The Product is the backbone of any successful company. The product must be unique.
Consumers should not be able to get it from any other company. The product should be validated by science not hype. It is helpful, however very uncommon to have an endorsement from a world-renowned expert or institution. The product must be consumable therefore allowing you to develop a residual income.

The Compensation plan must satisfy the newby as well as the seasoned professional. A balanced plan that pays generously on both the initial sale as well as the long-term residual commission. Statistically, 95% of the network marketers who drop out in the first 90 days do so because the didn't make enough money. Recently some hybrid comp plans have solved this by paying a "Fast Start" bonus out for 3 consecutive months.

The Marketing System should be automated and affordable. Very few marketing systems today are effective, user friendly and Affordable at the same time. Remember, people join MLM to make money, not spend it, especially on marketing systems that you'd have to be a genius to master. Now remember in the beginning I said that the Right Company was 90% of your success. The other 10% is you. Now don't worry you don't have to be an expert.

Because I guarantee, that if you were given a Ferrari F355 sports car... In a race against the worlds best race car driver (who was driving a Ford Focus) You KNOW you'd when.
See a Company that meets the above criteria at

Credit Reporting Agency - Know The Truth Before Buying

By Justin Fox

Credit Reporting Agency - You already know that getting a good credit report and score is your key to financial security. It's a fact that it's one of the most important things in life. It's basically your lifeblood, you want that nice car, big house and happy family. Bad score equals bad life, period!

So where do you get your Credit Report and Score from? A Credit Reporting Agency of course.
But,

I'm Justin and I got ripped off. See they want your money, bad! If you don't know the following information then will take it from you and you'll end up with something you don't need.

Now, It's important you understand I'm not saying don't get a credit report, actually you have to, there's no way around it, but, you will get sold extra services you might not need and that's what you need to be aware of.

To understand this better, lets have a quick look at the three huge companies that has effectively locked out any competition and generate massive profits. The three main credit report bureaus are Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.

Do you know that the group that represents the three bureaus spent a record $1.4 million on federal lobbying in the year 2006? and nearly double what it spent in the year 2004. According to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Why's this you ask, what are there motives, don't they just store my credit info. Well not quite, they commonly publish news items in the main media outlets that help sell and hype the idea that identity theft is a massive problem and you need to protect yourself or your life will be ruined.

Misinformation is truly the best friend of credit bureaus as it dissuades so many people from even attempting to dispute their credit.

Let's have a look at some other facts about Credit Bureaus:
  1. The credit bureaus are still enormous corporations with enormous power.
  2. They have double digit revenue growth
  3. Investigating credit disputes is something they are forced to do
  4. They have developed a full arsenal of tactics to keep from investigate disputes.
  5. Tactics include general propaganda, to strong-arm tactics, to methods of questionable legality.
  6. In 2006 litigation-related matters, increased 8 percent to 57 cents from the second quarter of 2006. (Equifax)
  7. There primarily motivated to collect your information and then sell it off.
  8. Credit bureaus were the definitive source for your credit information - so they started off ahead of any competitor.
  9. They have absolutely no motivation to ensure its completeness or accuracy
  10. They just take the information they provided to them. The add it to your credit reports and sell it off.

The Government has helped, but: If the group that represents the three bureaus spent $1.4 million on federal lobbying just last year then these rights will be eroded away again, The government has help consumers in the following ways:
  • The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)The FCRA was passed to add accountability to the credit reporting process so they can no longer collect whatever they want.
  • You have right to a free yearly copy of your credit reports
  • You can dispute the accuracy of the items in your credit reports
  • But, it does not mean the credit bureaus now make sure your reports are accurate.
It has to be said that knowing the history and the motivations behind the credit bureaus is your very own tool to understanding the true nature of the credit reporting system.

I really do sincerely hope this gets your mind ticking and that this article gives you with a few tips and provides you some good advice to think about when getting your credit report.

A Glimpse Of Truth

By Victoria Leal

Tonight I was given a glimpse of the truth. I met my Spirit. Earlier, I had been wondering about reincarnation and past lives, whether there was such a thing. I learned tonight that there was, but not in the way that we think. When we think of past lives, we tend to think of the body when actually, it is the past human forms of the Spirit. Our Spirits are as old as this earth. It has lived for millions of years, yet I have only been on this earth for 48 years. I am but one body that has experienced the journey of my Spirit. My body is but the vessel for which my Spirit uses to travel along its predestined path.

Because there is one Spirit that used many, many bodies to travel the path, there will be certain traits, characteristics, innate talents and abilities, that all of these bodies will have in common. I would be willing to bet that all other bodies, before me, were great writers. If you’ve ever wondered how you are naturally able to do something—really well, it is because it is a talent or characteristic of the Spirit that is housed by your body.

When someone with the ability to see your past lives tells you that in another life, you were such and such, they are correct in what they see. They are actually seeing the journey of your Spirit, not your body. For your Spirit has always been and has existed throughout different eras and different bodies.

Because the journey of the Spirit has been on the same path, when we experience dejavu, it is simply our Spirit remembering something or someone that it has already encountered, but in another body. The body that we are now does not actually experience dejavu. But the remembrance is so strong that we feel it.

We, this body, knows that we have never been to this place, or met this person, or spoken these words before. That’s why it is not possible for us, as the body and mind, to experience dejavu. The body remembers things that it has actually experienced but the Spirit remembers through dejavu. It has been to that place, it has met that person--or the Spirit of that person, and it did speak those words.

This leads me to believe why some people get along very well with certain others. It is because their Spirits have had a previous encounter and through the Spirits, the bodies are brought together. And the same could be said for those who don’t seem to get along. My body was chosen by my Spirit. When you think about it, what a privilege it is to know that every part of you was hand-picked by your Spirit. Therefore, the Spirit is who we really are. The mind and body are but tools that are used by the Spirit to travel its path.

How does this explain “Free Will” and the ability to think? Are we thinking and making decisions independently of our Spirits?

The dictionary’s definition of Free Will is this: Made of one’s own free choice; the power of self-determination; the capacity to choose freely between alternatives. The Bible states that God gave us free will, which in this case also means the ability to make choices. Free will is what differentiates the human species from the animal. Animals do not think, they operate on instinct. We too also have an instinct but at the same time, we have the ability to think about that instinct and we have the choice of acting on it or ignoring it.

Therefore, by all outward appearances, it would seem that we are thinking independently of our Spirit. But that instinct that we possess as humans is actually our Spirit trying to tell us something. Sometimes, it can be persistent by giving the same instinct over and over again.
Learning to trust your instincts and acting upon them will ultimately bring our Spirit one step further on its chosen path.

As humans, we have no mission or purpose. It is the mission and purpose of our Spirit that is being achieved, through the body. And its ultimate purpose is to make its way back to God, from whence it came…not that it has ever been separated from God…that would be impossible. In a sense, the body is just along for the ride. However, for the purpose of the journey, it is necessary.

Our Spirit knows the truth of our nature as humans. And the more it can bring the body and mind in harmony with itself, the more peaceful and joyful will be the experience of the body.
Since this is the part of us that we, as humans, identify with most, we always want to know, “What’s in it for us?” Well, here is what’s in it for us…a life abundant with peace, joy, and love. You ask, “How do we get that?” And the answer lies in listening to your Spirit (your inner guide) and learning to trust your instincts and acting on them.

It is said that we are co-creators of our lives, and we are. But to truly understand this concept, you have to accept full responsibility for your choices (free will) and understand the Law of Cause and Effect, which simply states that for every cause (decision) there is an effect (outcome). Nevertheless, regardless of the decision you make, the path remains the same but the journey may have taken a turn.

I can think of situations where had I listened to my instincts, I would have made a different decision which would have called forth a different outcome. But without knowing the mission and purpose of my Spirit, who’s to say that I didn’t make the “right” decision?

In my relationship with my ex-husband, for example, had he and I not been together, I would not have my two oldest sons, which I adore. They are who they are because they were sired by him and me. However, my instincts were telling me that I would not be in this abusive relationship for long. I knew that one day I would be free, but not before they were born.

However, before he and I met, my goal (me, Vickie) was to become a veterinarian, which obviously did not occur. But back then, I believed that was my purpose. Then I believed that my purpose was to become an Attorney, which obviously did not occur. This brings me to my youngest son. Had I not moved to Kentucky and met his father, he would not be here, as the incredible person that he is. He is who he is because he was sired by his father and me. What really prompted me to move to Kentucky? The reason that I gave myself was that I was tired of Houston. Also, at that time (1986) the threat of gang was on the rise and I wanted to protect my two sons from any possible involvement.

But was that the real reason? The urging of my Spirit was very strong, in fact, I could not think of anything else. I knew I had to move. I knew I wanted to move. My youngest son was waiting for me, which goes to prove that although the journey may take several turns, the path remains the same. The mission and purpose of my Spirit remains the same.

When I look at my life today, I can clearly see a unity of my Spirit, my mind, and my body beginning to take shape. I am learning to trust my instincts and to act upon them. I am learning to trust my Spirit on its journey and although I am only along for the ride, I am beginning to enjoy the ride. I am beginning to experience the joy, love, and peace that comes with a united body mind, and Spirit.

The Truth About Forming Partnerships

By Thomas Kish

Working in partnership with other people is one of the most powerful forms of business leverage. The most successful investors in the world all work with a team of support people and partners. If it is a good idea for them to collaborate and work together - then why would you believe that you are better off in business alone?

The key to forming successful partnerships is in the understanding of how to structure them properly from the beginning. Partnerships need to be well thought out with the details clearly spelled out in order for them to run smoothly and generate the intended profits.
Forming profitable partnerships can be accomplished through successfully negotiating the following steps:

1. Locate potential partners.2. Form a business entity (LLC, S-Corp, etc.).3. Screen partners to determine their qualifications and assets.4. Create an addendum to the LLC that details the special rules and considerations of this partnership.5. Begin to practice the presentation you will give to potential partners.6. Script out this conversation in advance.7. Craft a clear message for your potential partners to hear.8. Show partners a written plan you will follow in making these real estate investments and remember to include your exit strategy.

The final consideration to be made when you finalize a partnership agreement is how the profits will be split among the partners.

This is a negotiation you will have with each potential member. The more they bring to the partnership - the bigger share of the profits they should expect.

Ultimately the decision to either accept or reject the terms agreed to between yourself and your potential partners rests with you. Clarify all questions you have about their intended level of involvement with your project and specify your understanding of this in the agreement.

Assisting individual small business owners to achieve their large corporation schemed goals through my partnership mentoring program is very rewarding. Yet, I continually find myself stressing the importance of keeping an open mind when considering both the pros and cons of forming any investment partnership. In doing so, you may discover it is actually the pros that far out weigh the cons. This is because professionals (pros) understand the many advantages to be found through partnerships.

The Truth About Personal Self Defense Weapons

By SA Rubin

Sorry I haven’t written anything for a while folks, but these days it seems like there’s more on my to-do-list then there is time to do them. In fact, my daily travels are what inspired me to sit down and write this letter today.

It seems like everywhere I go these days, I get asked the same questions about self defense weapons. Are they legal? Should I carry one? Do they really work? (And assuming they really do work for self defense)… How do I know which one is really going to work for me?

The truth is, there really is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. It’s a personal question, which has a personal answer for each individual. So I’m going to do what I can to help clear some of the fog on this topic, and we’ll start with a simple definition for the term “self defense weapon”.

Self-defense: The act of defending one’s person or interests from harm by the use of physical force or argument.

Weapon: Any instrument or device used to inflict harm on another, either for attack or defense.

So for the purpose of this article, we’ll consider a self defense weapon to be any instrument or device used to defend yourself from physical harm or attack... Simple enough.

Personal defense weapons come in many shapes and sizes. In fact, just about anything you use to defend yourself could be considered a self defense weapon. So rather than creating a list of self defense weapons (which is practically endless), I’ll just go over some of the concepts that are common for all of these devices.

First let’s talk about what a self defense weapon is NOT…

A self defense weapon is NOT an animate object with a mind of its own. In other words, it doesn’t think for itself, and it doesn’t sit there coiled up, waiting for the opportunity to strike at someone. A self defense weapon is a tool, no more. And being a tool, what it does depends entirely on what you do with it. A weapon can be very useful for keeping you safe. However, you've got to remember a few certain things...

1. A SELF DEFENSE WEAPON IS NOT MAGIC. Once you have a weapon, it doesn’t mean you’re automatically safe. So, don’t go walking into a bad section of town, in the middle of the night, carrying a big handful of money. And don’t flip off the local gang leader just because you have a weapon in your pocket

2. YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO USE YOUR SELF DEFENSE WEAPON. And even more important, you need to have confidence in your ability to use it. Just having a weapon doesn't mean it'll be any help at all. This is actually a big problem among the uninformed; Military and law enforcement research confirms that people who lack confidence in a technique or device will not resort to it in a stressful situation.

Many people have been seriously hurt in violent encounters with a personal self defense weapon right in their hand. In the stress of the moment, they didn't think to use it or doubted its' ability to impact the situation. Perhaps they were afraid that it would only make matters worse.

So if you’re thinking of carrying a personal self defense weapon, make sure you’re prepared to learn how to use it. And practice to become skillful with it. You also need to be prepared to use the device aggressively on a predator, to protect yourself. Never carry a Personal Safety Weapon with the intent to "bluff" your assailant. This is one sure way to have your weapon taken away and used against you. So if you are not prepared to use it decisively, don't carry it!

3. WEAPONS DON’T WORK IF YOU AREN’T HOLDING THEM.You've got to keep your eyes open and pay attention, and you need to know how to carry and use your weapon of choice, cause if you don't, you may not get a chance to use it. A gun doesn't help if it's still in its holster, and a pepper spray or a stun gun isn't too useful if it's still in the bottom of your purse or in the kitchen drawer at home when you get attacked. So when you carry a weapon for self defense, make sure you can get to it quickly if the need arises.

People seldom leave their homes thinking, "Gee, I think I'll go out and fend off a mugger, or a rapist today!" What happens to most self defense weapons is the novelty wears off and they’re quickly forgotten, then they find their way to the bottom of a purse, the glove box of your car, or the back of a kitchen drawer. They won't do you much good there! So ask yourself, is the device you are considering something practical enough to carry with you all of the time.

4. NOTHING WORKS 100% OF THE TIME. Over-inflated claims and quick-fix promises are everywhere in the self-defense business. Many gadget salespeople and wannabe self-defense experts exaggerate the benefits and capabilities of their systems and products.

You need to understand, and acknowledge the limitations of a self defense weapon, and have a back-up plan. Keep in mind that nothing is ever 100% effective all the time. Even a gun is only 99% effective. Sometimes people get shot, but they still don’t go down. Yet, I don’t know anyone who would say a gun isn’t effective.

So knowing that nothing works 100% of the time means no matter what self defense weapon you decide to carry, you should still have a back up plan for defending yourself… just in case
5. THERE ARE LAWS ABOUT WEAPONS… Lots of laws. Starting primarily with laws about guns, the use of guns, carrying a gun, etc. but there are also laws about stun guns, pepper spray, knives, batons, etc. Mostly having to do with when weapons may be used, and under what circumstances.

Do what you can to learn the laws about weapons in your area, but more importantly, use a bit of common sense. Pulling a gun on a guy because he cut you off in traffic is a no-no, and shooting someone in the face with pepper spray because they took the last donut at the meeting is not using good judgment. So when learning to use your self defense weapon, also learn the laws regarding the weapon, and when you can and can't use it legally.

So there you have it, a few basic truths about self defense weapons. I could go on for another half hour about personal defense weapons, and never run out of things to say, but this article has already passed the one thousand-word mark, so I’ll end it here. The bottom line is, if you’re going to carry a weapon for self defense, make sure you know how to use it, and are prepared to use if the need arises.

Until next time, Stay safe and stay alive.
