Costa Rica Resorts

By Ken Wilssens

There are many Costa Rica resorts located on beautiful beaches and surrounded by lush green lawns. You can call any one of these resorts and make the reservations on your own, but the majority of tourists prefer to make their reservations through a travel agency either online or off. You can decide to stay one or two nights or one or two weeks or even longer. You can decide to book the accommodations on their own and buy your meals, snacks and drinks as you want them. There is also an option to have an all-inclusive, which means that all the meals and drinks at the resort are included in the price you are quoted for the reservation.

When you make a reservation at one of the Costa Rica resorts, you will have to pay 25% of the total cost in order to keep the booking. The balance of the amount has to be paid 30 days prior to your arrival in Costa Rica (60 days if you want to be in Costa Rica during Christmas). At any of these resorts you can choose to have a hotel room, a suite or a private cottage. If you choose a cottage, you can choose to cook your own meals. The cottages are well-stocked with all the utensils you need and an excellent supply of non-perishable food items.

Staying at Costa Rica resorts gives you a fantastic view of the beach or you can choose to stay in the rain forest. There are resorts in just about every area of the country and some cater to specific needs, such as golfing or surfing, having packages for these types of vacationers. The food served is a combination of traditional Costa Rican cuisine and North American cuisine to suit every tourist. These meals are generally the buffet type, so you can get a chance to sample all the foods. You can go back for more when you find something that really tickles your taste buds.

Costa Rica resorts have fantastic pool areas where you can lounge about and work on your tan. These resorts also cater to families with pools for children and some of them also offer babysitting services when parents want to go out on their own. The resorts will arrange for tours and guides to let you take advantage of everything in the surrounding area.
