Auto Accidents and Your Legal Rights in Los Angeles California

By Steven M Johnson

Have you been injured in an automobile accident? Do you know your rights now that you've been involved in an automobile accident? Your injuries may include brain injury, spinal cord injury, paralysis, skull fractures, temporary amnesia, back and shoulder injuries, disk injuries, leg, knee and foot injuries, and whiplash. You may have suffered internal injuries including a torn spleen, injured bowels, liver, kidneys, lungs and heart. It is important that you contact a reputable auto accident lawyer in Los Angeles, California, specializing in personal injury law, to protect your rights in your unique situation.

Did the car you were traveling in, belong to you? Was the car a rental vehicle? Was the car a taxicab? If the vehicle did not belong to you, and you were injured in that vehicle, it is vital evidence in your case, and must be preserved as such. How do you proceed in executing this task? A personal injury lawyer knows just what to do. Leave all the legalities in his capable hands; it's futile to fight your case by yourself. You need someone on your side to fight for your rights, and to prevent the insurance bullies from trying to deceive you by making you settle quickly with an insufficient payoff. Unscrupulous insurance companies use this strategy before you have had a chance to think about seeking legal representation for your case.

In many cases accidents happen as a result of defective manufacture; therefore the body of evidence is the actual vehicle-and that vehicle has to be examined closely by an expert for any and all clues as to what caused the accident. The vehicle should not be handled or otherwise tampered with by anybody after the fact. An experienced auto accident lawyer is able to handle this situation with ease.

While you are in the hospital, your ability to support your family the way in which they have become accustomed; is drastically reduced or may even come to a sudden halt. As well as the household bills, there are now additional bills, ambulance and/or air-evac bills, emergency surgery and surgeon's bills, including anesthesiologists and consultant's bills, not to mention the thousands of dollars it costs per day while you are receiving medical care in the hospital.
Following discharge from the hospital, there will be physical therapy costs, pain management appointments, medication expense, specialist's fees, transportation costs, and constant calls and demands for overdue hospital bill payments. All of this, and more, while you are trying to reconstruct your life; trying to keep your family together, as well as worrying about the future and its, seemingly, bleak outlook.

Take a break from your worries, and consult an experienced auto accident attorney, ready to take your case, and fight for your rights. Your full recovery is paramount; your personal injury claim will be conducted in a most professional manner, thoroughly and with integrity.

Don't leave your future to chance; consult a personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles, California, who will fight for your rights to gain full recovery, and make certain that you and your family have a sound, financial future.

Swimming with Dolphins in California

By Thomas Morva

California’s Central Coast is home to a variety of marine life including several types of dolphins.
The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS), a Federally protected marine area offshore of California's central coast, supports one of the world’s most diverse marine ecosystems. It is home to numerous mammals, including whales and dolphins.

Stretching from Marin to Cambria, the MBNMS encompasses a shoreline length of 276 miles and 5,322 square miles of ocean.

Warm water conditions in the Monterey Bay have attracted several species here from warm water areas, including the Long-Beaked and Short-Beaked Common Dolphins, normally seen from the Channel Islands south to Baja California.

These Common Dolphins congregate at the edge of the Monterey Submarine Canyon, where sardines, mackerel, and squid seem to be their primary attraction. Other dolphins and porpoises in the Monterey Bay include the Pacific White-Sided Dolphin, Rissos Dolphin, the Northern Right Whale Dolphin, the Bottlenose Dolphin, Dalls Porpoise, and the Harbor Porpoise.

The US government has prohibited swims with the dolphin activities in the marine sanctuary. There is only one swim with the dolphin activity center in California and that too in a private enclosure of a theme park owned by the Six Flags Marine World in collaboration with Ocean Discovery.

The new Caribbean-themed destination is the only place in Northern California where guests can personally interact with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, southern stingrays and warm-weathered penguins.

The 2-acre area provides guests the opportunity to interact with and feed some of the world's natural wonders while learning about the animals and the importance of natural habitat conservation and protection.

Ocean Discovery provides interactive experiences with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins inside a custom designed 200,000-gallon pool where guests can have direct contact with the animals and their trainers. During designated times guests can touch and feed the dolphins with the assistance of the Park's veteran trainers. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the dolphins from an underwater viewing area.

Six Flags Marine World is located in Vallejo, California, off of Interstate 80, just 30 miles northeast of San Francisco, 50 miles southwest of Sacramento and near the Napa Valley Wine Country.

Dolphin Swim Info provides detailed information about swimming with dolphins, including profiles of the best places to swim with dolphins: Florida, Hawaii, Cancun, California, Malta, Key Largo, and the Bahamas. Dolphin Swim Info is affiliated with Original Content.

Uninsured vs Insured in California

By Sam Torkan

Within the Golden State that is California, all is not necessarily golden in terms of who does and does not have health insurance.

California is one of the most populous states in the nation. According to the United States Census Bureau, it is home to well over 30 million people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. But regardless of their age or the language they speak each of them has one thing in common they all need health insurance.

There are many ways for California residents to obtain health insurance. Some are eligible to participate in group health insurance plans sponsored by their employers. Others purchase individual health insurance for themselves and their families. Low-income individuals are often eligible for Medicaid, and seniors for Medicare. Both these government-sponsored programs are designed to protect the most vulnerable Americans from having to deal with healthcare costs on their own.

Being uninsured leads to higher healthcare costs in the long run because conditions and problems that could be easily cured or arrested with early detection often go undiagnosed because people can't afford to visit their doctor.

The Kaiser Family Foundation reports that there are around 6,448,540 uninsured Californians that is over 15 percent of the state's total population. Of those who are insured, the Foundation reports that over 2 million require individual health insurance because they are not eligible for coverage through their employer or through Medicaid or Medicare.

Even the over 8 million Californians who do qualify for Medicaid or Medicare often require supplemental coverage. Many insurance companies offer programs specifically designed to meet the requirements of people who want or need more coverage than Medicaid or Medicare provides. For example, a senior might be interested in a program that includes discounts on services such as vision check-ups and corrective lenses, dental care or even chiropractic services.
