Marketing - How To Drive Traffic To Your Website
By Erica Johansson
Your object is to build a large email list of costumers, but first you need visitors. Follow these simple steps to drive traffic to your website.
Offer a Freebie: Give away a free e-book, newsletter, product sample, software, info report, or an email course on traffic generating methods, how to succeed in network marketing or something else you are knowledgeable in.
Subscriber box:Have a subscriber box on every page and make it visible. People don’t want to scroll down to the bottom of the page in order to sign up to your mailing list.
Contests: Contests and challenges creates curiosity and buzz about your website. It’s a win-win situation.
Link trading: Trade links to increase your visitor rate. Link with a website with the same or a similar topic that is non-competitive and preferable with a higher Google Page Rank than you.
Call or e-mail, say they are offering a similar, but not competitive service and ask if they are interested in trading links with you. You can also buy a link from a site with high PR.
Keywords: Search for keywords at Google and Yahoo and look what the sites with similar, but not competitive products use for keywords.
Advertising: Banner advertising, sponsorship advertising, ezine advertising and newsletter advertising are always worth a try.
Participate in online forums: Find a forum about your interest and visit at least a few times a week. Post a comment when you have something to add and link to your website or blog in your signature box.
Improve search engine placement:Get links from Myspace, Flickr, and Digg pointing to your site.
Last, remember to keep contact with the people on your e-mail list at least once a week. You don’t want them to forget you.
