Analyze Your Traffic Make You Succeed

By Tsuyoshi E. Suzuki

Internet marketing is becoming more sophisticated as the shopping audience increases and is spawning its own industry within the industry of the internet. Internet companies will use very sophisticated internet marketing techniques in an attempt to gain an edge over the competition and in order to attract visitors to the site. It is the process of promoting an organization using online media, typically with the goals of increasing sales and boosting profits.

Internet marketing does not simply mean building or promoting a website nor does it mean simply putting a banner ad up on another website. It is becoming the principal vehicle for this customer-contact process. Other traditional marketing activities still have a role but are often used in a complementary way to give maximum impact and return on the total effort.

Web analytics measures and analyzes the result of internet marketing efforts by studying trends, behaviour and improving productivity and search engine marketing effectiveness accordingly. By applying web analytics a company can monitor a website in order to increase their business performance and improve their site to include the needs and preferences that visitors are demanding.

Web design is an art that is the business of small and large enterprises alike. Designing a web site is more about creating a positive image of a company.

Web presence is therefore vital for bringing in the right visitors to your site. Websites claim you're going to make money online by setting up a website, throwing up an offer and some content and watching magical bucks start rolling in, but it is actually hard work and there's no such thing as "magic".

Effective search engine marketing is an ongoing process that needs to be monitored, analyzed and adjusted to match changes in both your business and the online environment. Effective Internet marketing is what drives websites to the top of major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. For the first time, companies large and small are able to compete on a level playing field.

Millions of people are buying products and services on internet with the help of websites. So websites are now popular platforms for such sales generated on internet. Millions of people are starting home businesses and many are failing. Could it be their lack of marketing know-how that is causing their failure?

Internet marketing is hard, technical, detailed work. Internet Marketing is not easy to do. It is also by no means difficult. Internet marketing is the great equalizer!

Blogging - How To Use Meta Tags To Boost Your Blog For Greater Traffic

By Fabian Tan

Even though meta tags are rarely used by search engines for page ranking purposes, they still play a role in the ranking of individual blog posts. In particular, you may find that meta tags are very important to your blogs ranking in various blog indexes. When used properly, you may also find that they will help you create and maintain the focus of your blog.

As may be expected, most search engines give little credence to the meta tags specified by webmasters. This occurred largely because websites incorporated meta tags that had little relevance to the content of the website. When you are listing meta tags, it is important to make sure that they match the content of your post. Ideally, you will select keywords that are found in your post, and are also relevant to your overall blog theme.

Today, some blog services offer a breakdown of all meta tags that you list in your blogs. This is very useful for evaluating if you are staying on focus with the theme of your blog. As an example, you may have a blog dedicated to laptop printers. If you don't see "laptop printers" listed often, you may want to consider amending that in future posts to your blog.

On the other hand, if you have a lot of tags related to video games, it may be an indicator that you need to change the focus of your current blog, or start a new one just for video games. That said, if you are generating a lot of traffic to your blog, you will also want to see what search terms are drawing the most attention. You can always create new blog addresses for less popular terms.

Discover How to Mix EBay, Google and Videos To Maximize Traffic!

By Ricky Figueroa

There have been some exciting new developments for eBay sellers in recent months.
Let's go over a few of them:

-eBay and Google are partnered and many eBay listings (especially "featured listings") are showing up ranked top 10 in Google for the keywords used in the title. This is producing a lot of traffic for those of us tapping into it!

-eBay classified ads are apparently allowed to have links to external websites in them (a big change for eBay) because 90% of them do and eBay doesn't seem to mind. I've yet to hear of a case where an ad was shut down because of an external link in it. eBay still has no official listed policy on this issue though. Please continue to send success stories to us (be confidential about the specifics if you'd like, but we won't tell others if you trust us with the details). We are still learning what works and sharing it with you as we learn.

-eBay is now promoting the use of video in auctions. This has been allowed for awhile, but the true potential isn't immediately evident until you add Google into the mix. Did you know that one of the best ways to get ranked quickly on Google is by using online video? I learned quite a bit about using video to rank high on Google at a conference I attended last weekend. I'll be sharing more about this in my site (see link at the bottom)

The conclusion I continue to draw from all of this is that eBay combined with the power of Google traffic is quite possibly the greatest untapped opportunity online. I'm astounded that only a few people are using eBay classified ads. ANYONE can drive a TON of targeted traffic (even simply to an affiliate link) once they know the system.

Can Planes Get in Midair Traffic Jams?

Why can't they just fly around one another?
By Jake Melville

Just before Thanksgiving, President Bush announced a number of measures intended to mitigate commercial airline delays over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. One of the measures included opening up military airspace over the East Coast to ease congestion. Seeing as the skies above are pretty wide open, is there such a thing as a midair "traffic jam?"

Yes. Passenger jets and corporate jets flying long distances must fly on one of just 12 routes running north-south along the East Coast, or others that crisscross the nation. The same commercial airways have been administered by the Federal Aviation Administration for decades, and it's a long, slow process to map out a new one. (Because of environmental regulations, this can take up to 20 years.) Still, the established routes do have enough capacity to handle the thousands of flights each day in the United States, but airports don't always have enough runways to land them all—and that creates backups.

Only a certain number of planes can fly the same route at the same time. Because of the limited range of radar signals and imprecise altimeters, the FAA requires that all passenger jets, corporate jets, and personal planes maintain strict separation standards to mitigate the risk of midair collisions. Planes flying at the same altitude must be either three miles or five miles apart, depending on the type of radar system used. (The newer equipment allows for closer flying.) Two planes can also fly one on top of another, so long as they maintain a 1,000-foot vertical separation.

A sector of airspace reaches its maximum capacity when there's so much traffic that planes are close to violating the separation standards. If a given route becomes too crowded—or if bad weather makes portions of it unsafe for flight—air-traffic controllers will deny other planes access and send them onto another airway. Another option is to transfer planes onto open military airspace over the ocean. If the military knows that a particular sector of its airspace will be unused, it can offer the real estate to the FAA for commercial flights.

It doesn't matter how many planes a route can hold if there aren't enough runways to land them. If an airport fills up on the ground, then incoming planes must be placed into holding patterns. That means that other planes seeking to enter the airspace around the airport might need to be redirected so as not to violate the separation standards. In crowded and busy airspace, such as that above New York City or Chicago, these delays could have repercussions far down the line.

Explainer thanks John Hansman Jr. of the MIT International Center for Air Transportation, Paul Takemoto of the Federal Aviation Administration, and Brian Turmail of the U.S. Department of Transportation

Increase Web Traffic

By Tim Ra Beachum

Everyone claims to know how to do it, but very few can.

I was told it was easy. You have probably heard the same thing. Then like me you took the leap of faith. You built your masterpiece. You submitted your website to the search engines. Then you waited... And waited... And waited.

The sales never poured in like most experts have told us that it would. Now it's time to go back to the drawing board. Maybe you should try Google Adwords. Or maybe you should try buying traffic. Those services work and they are effective. But what if you are operating on a shoestring budget.

You could turn to SEO marketing and generate free traffic. Although SEO marketing is extremely effective it is time consuming - but it works. Nobody wants to wait weeks or even months to increase there web traffic. You need traffic and you need it within minutes. What do you do?

TIME TO PLAY DIRTY
That is the position that I found myself in when I first started. Out of stupidity I turned to black hat techniques, spam, and several other risky strategies. Did they work? They sure did. Did I generate any revenue? I sure did. In fact I made a lot of money. I achieved my goal and I did increase my web traffic. I even quit my job. I had become one of those so-called over night successes that I had once read about.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND
As fast as it all came... It all went away. My house of cards came tumbling down. I was spamming so much I had shut down entire companies. The lawsuits started pouring in. What seemed like a dream come true had turned in to my worse nightmare. A shortcut turned into a yearlong battle, and a mountain of attorney fees. Although I survived it all the scars still remain. But there is more...

During the battle I discovered Safelist. I wish I could tell you that I struck it rich again my first time out the gate. But I failed miserably. Then I discovered that Safelist marketing was a unique form of marketing. I couldn't approach it like I did with traditional forms of marketing. With a year or so and a ton of persistence I finally figured it out - the traffic began to flow. And more importantly it was all 100% legit.

Now when I launch a new website Safelist marketing is the first weapon in my arsenal that I pull out. It allows me to drive traffic to my website within minutes. If you do not remember anything else from this article - remember this. The most important thing outside of knowing how to write a good ad is being consistent.

Although I use several techniques to drive traffic to my website - I always start with Safelist marketing. Why do I do this? It cost little to know money to get started and it is effective. It allows me to test my sales copy for conversions. At the same time I am generating revenue, while I optimize my website for the search engines.

The bottom line is this... Regardless to what the so-called experts say, Safelist really do work. I recommend this strategy to those who are just starting out with online marketing. This strategy is time consumer, and is geared towards those with little to no revenue to invest.

Go join a couple of Safelist and take about 15 or 20 minutes to review the ton of emails that you are going to receive. Look at what they are selling. Take note to the headlines that catch your eye. Study their sales copy. Experiments and see what works for you. I ensure you that Safelist marketing will generate web traffic for you.

Will you have tons of traffic flowing to your site in the beginning. Nope! However you will open the floodgates of web traffic once you understand how the system works.

Can You Cheat to Get Traffic From Social Bookmarking Websites?

By Stephanie Foster

Sites such as Digg and StumbleUpon can drive delightful amounts of traffic. If you want to have high levels of traffic driven to your site, they're one of the great ways to get it. But actually getting the traffic is difficult. So many people look for ways to cheat their way to traffic.

There are ways to do this. There are groups that will Digg, Stumble or bookmark on various other websites for you, just as you do so for other members. I won't name any here; if that's the solution for you, search them out on your own. You'll find them.

However, a lot of people really don't understand what they should be having other people submit for them. They'll put in just any old blog post and hope for traffic. But what you really want to submit are things that will get people interested in what your site has to offer. Otherwise, all you are doing is burning up bandwidth.

If you're going to do something like this, start out by using the service you're targeting. What kinds of pages tend to do well? You don't want to be copying anyone, but you can be inspired by the general topics that tend to do well.

The thing about having a group submit your site is that unless the quality is there, it won't do you a bit of good. In fact, if you aren't careful about it, you can get your account and your website banned. You can lose all your chances to make the most of social bookmarking simply by abusing it.

The key is to remember to be a genuine member, even if you have others help you get your sites up there. Share the pages you really like, not just the ones you have to share in order to get your sites submitted.

You will also want to remember that social bookmark traffic as a rule converts poorly. What you should be looking for is how to get people to subscribe to your newsletter or feed, or other ways to keep people coming back on their own, rather than just when they read about a hot topic they found through a social site.

You'll also want to remember the other benefit that you are working towards - getting other people to link to your site. While not every blogger bothers to give references when they post on a topic, the better ones will mention if something you said inspired their own comments on that same topic.

Yes, it can be considered cheating to find a group that will bookmark your site for you, but it can help to get a well-crafted page noticed when you don't have the traffic to drive it on your own. But it's a risk, and there is still no substitute for page quality. It needs to be good enough to stand on its own when other people notice it.

Generating Organic Website Traffic

By Patrick Schwerdtfeger

It’s the biggest mystery on the internet. Everyone wants to open an online business. Everyone has a great idea. Everyone has a sure-fire strategy for success. And in many cases, they go out and build impressive websites around their idea. They include features that make the site sticky, drawing visitors in and inviting them to browse around. The graphics are slick and the layout beautiful. Java and Ajax make the browsing experience smooth and seamless. But in the end, no one shows up.

The vast majority of websites never get much of any traffic. Of course, this should come as no surprise. There are millions of different websites, even within a single topic, and there’s no way for the average internet browser to find one specific website without some help. And that’s what this article is about. What can you do as an online entrepreneur to identify yourself to the masses and help them find their way to your website? More importantly, what can you do to achieve that objective with little or no money?

That last sentence is the most important one so far. We all know the pay-per-click options exist and our hard earned money can quickly and easily drive traffic to your website. We all know it can be done at the click of a mouse. But how much will it cost? For those of us who have tried this type of advertising, it’s truly amazing how quickly you can run a tab paying for one click here and one click there. Well, as it turns out, there are some other options available that can drive just as much traffic and won’t cost you a penny.

The first strategy is encompassed by this article you’re reading. I wrote this article and posted it to the internet for free. Nobody’s paying me a penny. I took the time to write is all down because I know how to post it to thousands of different article directories quickly. And at the bottom of this article is a short bio with some brief information about me along with my website address. That means everyone who reads this article has the option of clicking through to my website directly. It’s called article marketing and it’s one of the best strategies for driving website traffic.

The second strategy involves posting comments on popular industry forums. Once you register with a forum, you can post comments within any topic you can find a string for. Your profile usually allows you to create a signature and that signature can include your website address.
Once again, you’ve leaving behind a direct link to your website every time you post a comment. And as such, I would post as many comments on industry forums as you possibly can – perhaps as many as 15 or 20 comments each day.

The third strategy is to post comments on popular blogs in your area of expertise of beginning a blog of your own. If you post comments on a blog for 10 consecutive days, I can almost guarantee you that someone is reading your posts. It just happens. People find stuff and you can quickly gain an audience by creating a blog. And of course, you can revert to posting comments on someone else’s blog. You can always leave behind a direct link to your site when you do so.

The forth strategy is to make your website easy to bookmark with any one of the many social bookmarking sites that have emerged during the past year or so. It’s the new craze and sites like StumbleUpon or Boing Boing or Digg can quickly drive traffic to your site if the content you’re providing is appreciated by others. Adding the appropriate buttons and links only encourages that process.

Driving internet traffic doesn’t have to be a mystery. It doesn’t need to be a secret. And there are lots of things you can do to get plenty of organic traffic landing on your website. In most cases, it doesn’t cost any money. It just takes time. And if you can allocate the time, you’ll be amazed at how quickly it will also start happening. Good luck!

Tactical Execution with Patrick Schwerdtfeger is a strategic company focused on growth marketing and program implementation across business markets.

Article Resources for Traffic

By Bruce Swedal

What is the reason you’re writing the article? The point is to get visitors and traffic to your website. The only place you can provide a pathway to your website is within your articles resource box. So you need to write one that will get a click.

One way to do that is to give the reader a reason to click. Maybe you just wrote a Pulitzer prize winning article on stock car racing, but you need more than a URL in the resource box to get them to continue to your website. Readers need a reason so give them one. Tease them with additional articles or tools, such as “For 10 Things You Must Know About…”

You can offer visitors free gifts. That word free is still an attention grabber so offer a free link, free report, newsletter or list of something.

It does not matter to the reader how great and wonderful you are so don’t brag about your accomplishments. Just keep your comments about yourself to a minimum with a hook. Something like Jim Doe won 2006 Realtor of the Year. Learn how he did it at….

Use the resource box to link to a useful piece of information or resource on your site. It does not have to go to the front page. If you land the reader in a place where can find what they are looking for and search around from there they tend to stay longer. Link to what is most relevant to the topic the reader expects to find.

Linking to pages within your website also allows you to optimize the pages with the links. The anchor text should relate to the contents of the landing page. This will help in ranking your website for various terms within your niche.

For example if you have a website dealing with sports fishing and a page devoted to bass. By linking with a bass fishing anchor text to an interior page of your site that deals with bass fishing, it will help the search engines to recognize the various topics your website covers. Plus improve search engine results for those broadened terms. Directory submissions also assist in targeting keyword traffic.

Understand that articles will only bring you traffic if you provoke an interest in the reader to click. The links will help improve search engine results to get you noticed for those keywords and topics. So keep both of these factors in mind when writing your own resource box.
There are several additional on topic articles published at the Authority Web Directory. Visit today and while you are there you can submit your websites’ listing at Authority Directory Submissions.

8 Quick Ways to Generate Blog Traffic Systematically

By Yian Chuan Tan

There are many ways to generate free traffic to your sites, especially for blogs. After creating a blog post, you can use methods ranging from sending your posts as articles to article submission sites like EzineArticles.com, to leveraging on social bookmarking sites like OnlyWire. In fact, it is advisable that if you have the time, to take advantage of them all.

However, due to the numerous ways available, the whole process can be extremely tedious without a systematic or automated way of doing this. Below is my own step-by-step system which, while not fully automated, can be used to reach out to a wider audience quickly and instantly, for each of your blog posts.

#1 - Submit the post as an article to article submission sites
Article submission sites are guaranteed traffic generators for well-written articles, usually on an average of between 1-200 visitors a day. If your post has been written like an article, do not hesitate to submit it to sites like EzineArticles.com. However, do note that article sites require good content, and not just something from a daily muse.

#2 - Publish Feedburner feed(s)
Ensure your posts have been published using RSS feeds, such as Feedburner.

#3 - Use Squidoo
Create Squidoo lenses for each keyword in your post, if it has not already been done. Then add your blog RSS feed in the lens. This will place your post to the eyes of anyone who visits you via Squidoo.

#4 - Stumble the post and Squidoo lens
StumbleUpon.com is a social bookmarking site which provides a browser tool bar from which you can bookmark your site's pages. It helps to generate massive amounts of traffic to your site, especially if you provide content which people find useful. As a result, more people will review and bookmark your site, creating much exposure, possible backlinks and a subsequent readership.

Once you have set up the tool bar, use the "I Like It!" button to bookmark and review the site page with your post.

#5 - Submit to OnlyWire and other social bookmarking sites
There is an increasing number of social bookmarking sites available today which provides massive potential for traffic generation. In order to submit your post to each of them requires considerable effort and time. Wouldn't it be a great timesaver if there was a tool that could automate this?

With OnlyWire, this can be achieved to a certain extent. At the moment, OnlyWire allows instant submission of your post to up to 22 social bookmarking sites. You will still need to have your own account at each of these sites, and key in your account name and password into OnlyWire. But after that, all you need to do is to bookmark your post using OnlyWire, and it will help to submit your post to all the 22 sites and a global audience.

If you are part of other sites like Digg.com (which is not on OnlyWire), do the necessary submission to those sites as well.

#6 - Ping Technorati
Technorati is often known as the authority of the latest buzz on the World Wide Web. If you have an account with Technorati and have added the necessary widgets, Technorati will ping your site upon adding a new post.

#7 - Write a WTF (Where's The Fire?) on Technorati
WTFs are short articles or excerpts on Technorati that are often used to spread the word on practically everything. They are frequently exposed on Technorati's main page and can be voted on by people. If your post or article is of great content, write a short WTF and post it on Technorati. This can provide residual traffic as well, since popular WTFs can remain on the Technorati homepage for a long while.

#8 - Alert your blog communities of new content
People who have joined your blog communities in MyBlogLog for example, are definitely keen on visiting your blog for content. Do them a service, inform them of your new post and they will drop by.

There are many other platforms on which you can leverage on to generate free traffic through various media - such as Yahoo! Answers, YouTube, Flickr, Google Alerts and the countless Web 2.0 sites sprouting up all over the Internet. The above 8 steps are just the main methods which I use to quickly and systematically spread my posts to a wider audience, using such platforms.
Use and integrate them into your own methods where applicable and useful, and pretty soon traffic generation will become second nature with more visitors to your site!

Free Google Advertising - Gain Free Traffic and Conversions Using Google

By Conner Hayes

We all know that Google is the most used search engine in the world. Getting listed on the front-page of search results is the goal of all webmasters, and everyone will try to achieve this in different ways. The easiest way, but indeed the more expensive, is to run a PPC (Pay-Per-Click) campaign with Google AdWords.

PPC campaigns can be extremely successful, however you must be able to manage and optimize each individual ad to see which ones are performing well and which ones are just wasting money.
This requires constant monitoring of keywords, click-thru rates, and most importantly, how much money you're spending in relation to how many sales you're getting (conversion ratio). If you've ever used AdWords before, I'm sure you've had an instance where you spent a few hundred dollars in just minutes with no sales at all! It's happened to the best of us.

There is an alternative to PPC that requires much more work, but in the end will bring you more conversions with only a small, if any, investment. This alternative is Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

By editing the HTML of a website so it contains specific things the indexing algorithm of Google will look for, top positions under the organic search results can be achieved. By 'organic', I'm referring to the natural search results, or all of the results NOT listed under the sponsored ads (PPC) section. SEO can be a very long and fruitless endeavor, but if you are able to gain a front-page listing, you will gain more traffic than if you used AdWords. Plus, all of the clicks you get will be free!

If you ask any well-known internet marketer, they will agree that organic search listings are much better than PPC ads. SEO can be difficult to understand and may take months until you see any results, but it is definitely worth the effort. There are methods, however, to get organic, front-page listings on Google that do not require extensive knowledge in SEO. These methods have only been discovered recently, but are starting to take the internet marketing community by storm.

If you would like to learn more about these methods, please visit http://www.GoogleAdsExposed.com

5 Simple Ways to Increase Blog Traffic

By Ryan Lewis

The difference between a successful blog and one that fades into nothing is in the number of readers visiting each day. If your goal is to create a large source of income from your site then attracting more visitors is key. This means that you need to increase both your new or unique traffic as well as regular readers.

Create a Loyal Readership

RSS Feed
This is one of the most basic pieces of the blog puzzle which creates a stable group of visitors reading each of your daily postings. An RSS feed notifies your readers that you have created another article and made a new posting on your blog. The RSS feed will also help create a stream of income as more visitors mean a higher page ranking and better search placement.

Social Networks and Engines
There are a number of social bookmarks and other networks available for blogs to utilize. Using a small piece of code on your website, each of your posts can be bookmarked, shared and voted on by readers around the world. Some blogger favorites are Digg, Technorati and Del.icio.us.

Friends and Family
When starting any new business you should first have the support of your family and friends! Let them know that you’ve started a blog and get them to visit on a regular basis. While this will increase your readership immediately, they can also support you by book marking your postings, referring their friends and talking about it with colleagues.

Increase New and Unique Traffic

Search Engine Optimization
The old saying, “it’s easier to keep a customer than find a new one” truly fits on the web. Attracting new visitors will be through a combination of regular postings, great content and search engine optimization techniques. When creating a new article, think about who will be visiting the site and what they will be searching for. Decide upon your main keywords and use them throughout the body of the post.

Niche Marketing
This technique requires a little additional work but it will pay off with a huge amount of traffic. By looking for optimized search terms with low competition you can direct a huge amount of free traffic to your site. The best part about niche marketing is that everything you do costs nothing and the traffic you receive will be hungry for what you’re offering!

Final Thoughts
Each of these tactics takes some time to implement on your site. The important thing to remember is that any source of residual income can only run on auto-pilot after the preparation work is done. By using these techniques within your blog strategy, you will find that your traffic will increase significantly and your increased income will follow!

Seven Ways to Send Targeted Traffic to your Website Part II

By Mark Fortimer

START A BLOG
If you put a blog on your site and make regular postings it is likely to be listed by search engines. People looking for information on your niche are liable to find your blog and be led to your website. Not only that, but if the have RSS on their own websites and get regular feeds on topics related to their own niche, they are liable to receive a feed of your blog. Blogging is a great way not only of getting highly targeted traffic, but also of keeping it there and ensuring a high ratio of return visits.

PPC ADVERTISING
If you have just started out in internet marketing, and have just put your first website online, you will need a quick injection of traffic to get you going. A quick PPC (pay per click) advertising campaign will get you up and running fairly quickly. Make sure that you set yourself a budget, however, and stop when you reach it. Some people like Google Adsense, but other prefer Yahoo Search Marketing. If I were you, I would try a bit of both for a week and then go with the one you like best. Run the same ad on each for a direct comparison of results.

WEBSITE DIRECTORY SUBMISSION
Many people fail to understand how many people use website directories. Even the smaller directories can generate traffic, and most offer free submission options. It might take a long time for a free listing to become active, but it will generate traffic. If you want to pay a small amount monthly, or even annually, you should get even more traffic. Website directories are effective and the traffic is generally highly targeted.

EMAIL MARKETING
Have you ever though about bulk email marketing? No, it’s not spamming, it’s sending off emails to millions of people who have agreed to receive them. There are several companies that offer this service, and a small one-off payment allows you to send emails to millions of people every day. Even at a tiny 0.1% open rate, your emails will still get read by thousands of people. Try it – it works for lots of people and it should work for you. The traffic your ads attract will be highly targeted if your advert is focussed on your products or services.

There are many more ways to send targeted traffic to your website, but if you start with these seven, then you will get a massive boost after which you can drop the poorer performing, and try something else.

Seven Ways to Send Targeted Traffic to your Website Part I

By Mark Fortimer

There are many different methods that can be used to send traffic to your website, but some are better than others, and some can also provide more targeted traffic that others, comprising visitors that are focussed on what you have to offer.

ARTICLE MARKETING
The first is article marketing. Submission of a few well written articles on the subject of your website to a number of the top article directories will generate you more traffic that you would believe. Many people have stopped paying for PPC advertising after finding that article marketing provides them with all the traffic they need.

It is important that the author’s resource box is used to provide a link back to a page on your website that is targeted to the topic of the article. By doing that you will satisfy the interest of the visitor, and once you have done that the rest is up to you.

FORUMS
If you can find a few forums that are devoted to the subject of your website then join them. Take part and make a few postings. Ask questions or, better still, answer them. Get your name known, and then start to work on being known as an expert in your niche. Solve problems for other forum members and slowly bring in your website address. You can introduce it as a good place for finding answers, but be careful to do it slowly. Too fast and the forum members will think you are using it only to advertise and you will be kicked off.

EZINE ADVERTISING
Advertising in ezines is an excellent way of getting traffic to your website. There are ezines on just about every niche under the sun, so find those that relate to yours and write asking if you can place an advert. Find out the terms, though ezine advertising can be very inexpensive. Readers will be targeted to the topic of the niche, so also to your site.

Improve your Google Page Rank Part I

By Mark Fortimer

If you can improve your Google Page rank then you will have a sure-fire way of improving your listing position. Google states very clearly that their PageRank and your link density is a very important part of how they decide your listing position for any keyword.

There are steps you can take to improve that and use an approximation to the Google PageRank formula to calculate how successful you are being. However, no one really knows what is required to get from one page rank figure to the next. If it takes 10 linking points to get a page rank at all, it will likely take a lot more to get from 1 to 2. It might take hundreds of thousand to get from 5 to 6, but many sites seem to get to page rank 3 and then stop.

Page rank is a measurement of the relative number of links to your webpage and the importance of the sites making these links, compared to the number of links leaving your web page. Page rank is what it says. It is a ranking of your web pages, not your whole website. This is particularly useful since it lists individual pages on your website, not the whole website.

These links need not be from outside sources, since internal page linking also counts. If one of your pages is linked to your home page, your home page gets a share of that page’s rank. The share decreases for each other page that the page in question is linked to. Each page in your website starts off with a page rank of 1. That then increases or reduces according to your internal linking strategy, and it is possible to design that strategy to provide as much PR as possible to one or more pages in your website.

Once you have optimized your internal links, you should then try to achieve as many links back to your website as possible from other websites. Keep in mind that you should try to get other web pages to link to specific pages on your site, that you have chosen either for their relevance to the keyword in question, or because that is the page that you want to get listed highest in Google.

Also keep in mind that websites with a very good page rank on their home page might be providing you with a link from a page deep in their site that has a very low PR, or even zero. A links page, for example, with only one link to the page but a hundred out will provide with next to no benefit. If the link is reciprocated, you could be giving that website more page rank points than you are getting back.

Choosing the Right Type of Article Writing to Generate More Traffic

By Sean R Mize

No one would dare to contest the fact that one of the best tools used by marketers and advertisers to generate traffic on one’s site is by unleashing the powers of article marketing.
Thru article writing, a site owner is capable to penetrate various “holes” on the net where they can advertise and promote. Sadly, not many of these people are able to maintain that drive because they are unable to sustain the necessity of article materials to continue with this mission. Below are some tips on which type of article writing material will best fit an event so it can generate more traffic.

• If you are targeting to publish your articles on sites that are relatively providing contents on a listing some tips, then it is best that you write a list type of an article. This type of article writing is one of the most common and easiest materials to do. All you need to do is to come up with a powerful introduction, then enlist the items, then conclude it.

• If you are targeting to publish your articles on a site that are working on giving contents on a trivial perspective, the HOW TO article is the right type to use. This type of an article primarily explains the steps or series of steps to accomplish a process.

• If you are targeting to publish your articles on a site where products are being sold, the REVIEW article might be the best type of article material to use. It gives the consuming public some overview on which product is wiser to buy and purchase.

Top 10 Tips to Guaranteed Targeted Traffic

By Lewis Low

Increasing targeted traffic to your website is one of the easiest ways to boost your online productivity. Here are the top 10 effective strategies that will help you accomplish that:

1. Optimize Your Website
While SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a full-time career option, you can either hire an expert to do this or follow the suggestions below and get the ball rolling yourself -

a) Select Your Keywords Wisely - Keywords are the phrases people use to search and come to your website, thereafter, hire your services or buy your products. The trick is to find keywords that are highly relevant to what you offer and popular enough that your target audience will use in search engines, but not so competitive that you can't rank well using them. (Tip: GoodKeywords.com provides a free keyword tool to help you get started. Find your ‘magic’ keywords and use them to build your website content!)

b) Create Your Meta Tags - One of the methods search engines use to evaluate and read your website is known as 'Meta tags.' Make sure you include your keywords, website title and description in meta tags in the source code of each of your web pages.

c) Create an SEO Friendly Website - Avoid bandwidth-hogging flash animations, fancy graphics or "alt" tags in HTML for pictures. Not only will this slow down your website's loading speed, search engines bots will also find it difficult to read, index, and rank your web pages.

d) Get Links to Your Sites - Create a ‘Links’ or ‘Resources’ page and add links to good, relevant websites. This makes search engines think that your site provides valuable information and it should, therefore, appear high in search engine results.

2. Submit Your Website to Search Engines
Don’t wait for search engine robots or spiders to find you. Instead, go ahead and submit your website to major search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Dmoz etc. and remember to do this regularly!

3. Use PPC Advertising
The best PPC (Pay-Per-Click) programs are offered by Google and Yahoo respectively, called Adwords and Overture. It’s usually pretty tough getting top rankings in the search engines in a short period of time, but it can be very easy to get on the first page of results quickly enough, with a PPC campaign. A PPC campaign can be started with a very small investment and you retain full control over your budget. You only pay when someone clicks on your ad that takes them to your website.

4. Swap Ads with other Ezines
It's a good idea to swap ads or links with other ezine publishers in your niche. These can be real ads, testimonials about your niche, or recommendations within the content of an ezine itself. Also, consider buying some ad space in ezine publications in your niche that have a large circulation. Always run an ad for at least 3 consecutive issues in order to get the best results.

5. Give Away Freebies
Everyone loves freebies and people will even come to your site just to check what you are giving away. So keep in mind to include a free eBook, a time bound discount coupon, a prize for every X-th visitor, etc. on your website. You can also partner with other JV (Joint Venture) sites where you can offer free products and get people to your own website. Make sure you capture your visitor’s name and email address using opt-in form so that you could easily follow up with them later. Remember, 'the money is in the size of your list.'

6. Become a Guru
Other than freebies, people love free advice! So find sites where you're allowed to answer questions, and then take some time off to provide detailed answers to each one of them. Become an expert in your niche, and with every answer you give or every solution you provide, don’t forget to add your website URL at the end.

7. Participate in Discussion Forums
Participating in forums, blogs, and discussion groups is yet another fantastic idea to drive targeted traffic to your site. Check to see if you can offer any advice or make valuable suggestions in forum threads. Always remember to provide your website URL at the bottom of each post you make. Each forum may have its own set of rules about promoting your website, so make sure you carefully read and follow their terms and conditions to avoid being accused of spamming.

8. Submit Articles
This is actually the most genuine and effective technique to getting targeted traffic to your website. Write articles that come under your niche, embed your website link within, and submit the articles to online article directories. Articles with quality content and information tempt readers to click-thru to your site, in the hope of getting more advice or tips. Once prospects reach your website, they're also exposed to the products and services you offer - which can sometimes result in many sales for you!

9. Write A Press Release
Write a press release about your business and circulate it in the local media, online news sites and RSS. Be careful not to make it sound like an advertisement, though. For more information about press releases promotion, check out http://www.prweb.com/pressreleasetips.php

10. Online Networks
There are many sites today where you can network online. These networks usually have groups which you can belong to and post articles and comments. Some good examples would be adlandpro.com, ryze.com, ecademy.com, directmatches.com and linkedin.com to name a few. They work pretty much the same as discussion forums where you can post your articles, and comments, or discuss general issues with others. Many online networking sites offer you an individual page on the network where you can advertise what you have to offer and include a link to your website.

To conclude, these 10 tips of driving targeted traffic are tried-and-tested, meaning they do work. So put in some hard work and give it time... then watch your traffic grow by leaps and bounds!

Smart Moms Tips for Getting Traffic To Your Website

By Rebekah Kogelschatz

If you are new to internet businesses, you may be wondering how you get traffic to your site to increase the page ranking on the search engines or to increase sales. There many wonderful resources that are available to help you increase your “search engine optimization” including help with key words and website design that are primary in getting traffic to your site. After the basics are in place, what next? Do you sit back and wait for the customers or visitors or do you find ways to bring them to you? These three simple tips can help you increase the traffic to your site, thereby increasing hits, sales, and page rankings.

The first tip is writing articles. This is an often overlooked way of getting traffic. Most people do not pursue article writing because they are afraid to write (it brings back bad memories of high school English)! Most people can write a simple article, find someone to proof read it, or find someone to write the final draft from your ideas. You will be amazed at what you can create.

By writing articles and submitting them to article submission sites, you are increasing your traffic in two ways. First, most submission sites allow you to include your personal information and a link to your site (in fact, don’t submit to sites that don’t allow at least one link). Some allow up to three links, like EzineArticles.com. People can browse the submission site for content to include on their own site, ezine, or blog. From the article site, they can click right on your link to your website and see what you have to offer. The second way to get more traffic from these articles is when these searches like what they read and include it on their site or ezine. They must include you bio with the links intact. Then those that read your article are able to click to your site from your links. This technique gives people the opportunity to find your site through a variety of pathways, all for free.

The other important part of the article submission technique are the links. Not only is your article with your site link on the article site, it is also on every site that publishes it. This is great for the search engine spiders to see that people have linked to your site and helps your page rankings.

Links are the second important tip to increase traffic and page rankings. You can include links to other sites, but it important those sites link back. Reciprocal linking is another piece search engines use to rank pages. If you have multiple sites, you should have them all linked together.
You should also find complementing sites that allow for free link exchanges or exchanges for a small fee. Then you include the link to that site on your site and they link back. This also provides more opportunities for people to find your site through other means.

The third tip is to change your website content. Websites that have content changes will increase in page rank. Be sure your website is not stagnant. Change your content every few weeks in some way, even small minor changes. Use articles you find on the article submission sites to provide some new information and ideas to your readers or write the content yourself.

Another great way to change your content frequently is to have a blog attached to your site.
Since blogs are frequently added to daily or weekly, they increase page rankings. Also, people may find and read your blog and then find your site, increasing the hits on your site. Make sure your blog is relevant and uses key words for titles and content. Not only will people want to read it, the search engines will like it to!

These three simple techniques can help to increase traffic to your site and help increase your page rankings. Internet businesses are all about your page rank and the amount of hits you receive. The higher the page rank and the higher the hits, the more likely you are to increase your sales and profit from your site.

Marketing - How To Drive Traffic To Your Website

By Erica Johansson

Your object is to build a large email list of costumers, but first you need visitors. Follow these simple steps to drive traffic to your website.

Offer a Freebie: Give away a free e-book, newsletter, product sample, software, info report, or an email course on traffic generating methods, how to succeed in network marketing or something else you are knowledgeable in.

Subscriber box:Have a subscriber box on every page and make it visible. People don’t want to scroll down to the bottom of the page in order to sign up to your mailing list.

Contests: Contests and challenges creates curiosity and buzz about your website. It’s a win-win situation.

Link trading: Trade links to increase your visitor rate. Link with a website with the same or a similar topic that is non-competitive and preferable with a higher Google Page Rank than you.
Call or e-mail, say they are offering a similar, but not competitive service and ask if they are interested in trading links with you. You can also buy a link from a site with high PR.

Keywords: Search for keywords at Google and Yahoo and look what the sites with similar, but not competitive products use for keywords.

Advertising: Banner advertising, sponsorship advertising, ezine advertising and newsletter advertising are always worth a try.

Participate in online forums: Find a forum about your interest and visit at least a few times a week. Post a comment when you have something to add and link to your website or blog in your signature box.

Improve search engine placement:Get links from Myspace, Flickr, and Digg pointing to your site.

Last, remember to keep contact with the people on your e-mail list at least once a week. You don’t want them to forget you.
